Aaron Cawte leads engineering for global marketing at Octopus Energy. His team - known inside Octopus as the “Chaos Monkeys” - builds and iterates on new ideas to drive forward the energy transition.

With a background in Computer Science, Aaron is a front-end developer by trade, but he spends just as much time collaborating with designers, product managers and marketers to craft experiences that change the game.

Aaron’s work at Octopus includes Saving Sessions, the programme that pioneered the idea of paying customers to use less power when the grid needs it most. Products built by Aaron’s team have paid out millions to Octopus customers, for saving, shifting and even using more energy at the right times.

In between all this, Aaron and his team are supercharging their work with Storyblok, and he’s excited to share a new set of highlights from their journey in Amsterdam!
